Making your EHR work for you

Background

I started as an ED nurse in a small hospital. In my journey through multiple EHR changes, I began to dive into the systems and discovered that I love the work. After moving to information systems full-time, I still maintained the end-user experience and approached my build from that perspective. While I understand the need for meaningful data capture, patient care comes first, and EHR workflows should support front-end staff in this effort.
